State Law Voiding Forum Selection Clauses Did Not Apply to Franchise Agreement
Reversing a trial court's decision, the North Carolina Court of Appeals has held that an arbitration clause in a franchise agreement signed in North Carolina was enforceable despite a North Carolina statute which states that forum selection clauses in contracts formed in North Carolina are unenforceable.
