The Internet has been recognized by matrimonial attorneys as promoting a variety of goals:

  • Identification and substantiation of claims and defenses;
  • Discovery of data that permits the parties to better evaluate their respective positions;
  • The simplification and narrowing of issues; and
  • An aid for the conduct of the trial.

But matrimonial attorneys may not be aware of the unique issues that arise when they need to have the data and information they collect online presented as evidence.
