Louisiana AG Issues Subpoenas to Hospital Employees
Attorney General Charles Foti, Jr. has issued more than 70 subpoenas to employees of Memorial Medical Center, a Tenet Healthcare-owned hospital in New Orleans, seeking information about possible euthanization of patients in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The subpoenas were issued after a letter from Tenet's assistant general counsel went out to employees advising them that although they were free to talk with the Office of the Attorney General, they also had the right to decline such interviews.
