California Children's Hospital Units Closed After Bacterial Infection Outbreak
At East Los Angeles' White Memorial Medical Center, several babies and two older children were infected in or around November and December 2006 with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a common bacteria that can be deadly to those with impaired immune systems. This method has become increasingly popular even beyond the sport of baseball.
