In a stunning turnaround today, separate appeals courts in New Jersey and Texas reversed verdicts against Merck from some of the earliest trials involving the now-withdrawn painkiller Vioxx.
According to the Associated Press, A Texas court killed a $26 million verdict against the Merck from the first trial, wherein it was claimed that a patient suffered his fatal heart condition from a blood clot caused by Vioxx.
