Joan P. Armstrong, a partner resident in the Boston office of Murtha Cullina, has been selected to serve as an associate justice of the Probate and Family Court of the Massachusetts Court System. She was confirmed in August and assumed her judicial duties immediately after being sworn in. Ms. Armstrong has extensive experience in the area of family law. She has represented individuals in the litigation of contested matters and the settlement of divorce proceedings, modification of alimony, support and parenting arrangements, paternity proceedings, child custody and visitation matters. In addition, she has represented many parties in the preparation and negotiation of premarital and non-marital agreements.
