Seeing opportunities for reduced costs and broader hiring pool, law firm marketing chiefs are among the most vocal proponents of shifting firm operations to a virtual setting as firms bring their personnel back to the office.

One reason why law firm marketing teams are embracing remote working arrangements, according to Am Law 200 firm leaders interviewed for this article, is that their jobs lend themselves to working anywhere. Many marketing staff members are used to working with team members from around the world since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, there are dimensions of marketing that require an in-office presence, and the process for deciding the best arrangement for teams is slated to be the topic of concern dominating meetings among leadership in the coming months.
