The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit pumped the brakes on a California law requiring the state’s biggest companies to disclose their climate change-related financial risks.
The court, without elaboration, granted a request by the U.S. and California chambers of commerce and other business groups to enjoin the reporting law while they appeal a federal court judge’s refusal to grant a preliminary injunction.
